Stinger develops professional laser protection. The Stinger Laser Analyzer®. The Laser Analyzer is an extension to the Stinger DSI and offers Safety Signals, flexible Laser Alerting, and a flexible LaserShield - to be used where allowed. Stinger Laser can alert you for dangerous traffic situations, analyse the laser spectrum, decode laser beams and can even recognise en name the type of laser gun it encounters.

The Stinger Laser Analyzer will work only in conjunction with the Stinger DSI Computer, creating a seamless integration. The Stinger DSI, therefore, not only offers you laser protection, but also tried and tested functionalities such as flexible Radar Alerting, SpotList Alerting, SPECS Alerting, Mileage Logging, and PoliceCheck.

The Stinger DSI and Stinger Laser are also legal in the UK.

Laser Safety Signals
Situation
You are driving on a rather quiet motorway. Suddenly, your hear your DSI’s audio alert. You simply release the gas pedal in order to slow down. Your Stinger shows: Safety Signal - Breaking Traffic. Just in case, you adjust your speed to 50 MPH where a maximum of 70 MPH is allowed. Half a mile down the road, you find traffic to be at a complete stand still. Thanks to your DSI’s Laser Safety Signals you have slowed down much ahead of the traffic jam.

Explanation

Laser Safety Signals can even transmit car-to-car warnings. A Stinger Laser user can alert other Stinger drivers by initiating or relaying Safety Signals. For instance, a Stinger Laser user who breaks intensely, generates a ‘Breaking Traffic’ signal on the DSI of Stinger drivers in his surroundings. Driving with a Stinger enhances safe driving.

Laser Alerting
Situation

It is clear blue skies. You are driving your car on a single carriageway. In your wide surroundings, you can see but a few cars. Nothing much going on, you think. Until a Stinger produced audio warning makes you believe something could require your extra attention. Your display reads ‘LASER ALERT’ and ‘Laser patrol’. To be sure, you double check your speed and notice that are exactly on the maximum speed allowed. Still, you decelerate somewhat. Only almost a mile later, you spot a policeman - leaning on a farmer’s gate. He is holding a laser gun. You were right after all, nothing much going on.

Explanation

Stinger DSI’s Laser Alerting is exceptionally sensitive. So much so, that your Stinger can pick up speed reading lasers that were ‘fired’ at the car in front of you. Furthermore, Stinger Laser comprises a revolutionary novelty: it can recognise and name police laser guns - is it a Laser Patrol or an Ultralyte? ‘Gun recognition’ is not only a nifty gimmick, it also examplifies the accuracy and professional level of Stinger’s Laser Alerting.

LaserShield®
Situation

You are driving in a country where the active use of the LaserShield is allowed. Consequently, you have downloaded and installed the LaserShield software. You are keeping up with the flow of traffic, when suddenly your Stinger starts warning you: LASER ALERT! You do not start a frantic search for the maximum allowed speed and your actual current speed. With utter peace of mind, you slow down somewhat - just to be sure. You keep your attention focussed on the traffic.

Explanation

Supported by its sensitive laser detection, your Stinger Laser susses out police laser in no time. With the speed of light, your Stinger will pull up a Shield to protect you against laser. After some seconds (the number of which is to be set by yourself) the ‘Shield up’ time ends and therewith its protection. At standstill and low speed the LaserShield cannot be invoked.
